Black Sea Oil & Gas: Deepwater Blocks

There are high expectations that the Silistar deepwater block in the Black Sea -- Bulgaria's first ever -- could contain major oil and gas resources. However, Gazprom-controlled Bulgarian gas company Overgas and three little known companies were the only bidders for the deepwater block, an energy ministry source said September 2.
