In addition, MDU Resources Group owns and operates approximately 3,700 miles of transmission, gathering, and storage lines, as well as owns, leases, and operates 33 compressor stations in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Further, the company involves in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of natural gas and oil resources in Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent/Gulf States.
Additionally, it mines, processes, and sells construction aggregates, including crushed stone, sand, and gravel; produces and sells asphalt mix and supply liquid asphalt for commercial and roadway applications; and supplies ready-mixed concrete, cement, finished concrete products, and other building materials for use in various types of construction, as well as provides related contracting services. The company was founded in 1924 and is based in Bismarck, North Dakota.
