Gas Natural SDG, S.A. engages in the production and distribution of natural gas and electricity.

It distributes gas; provides third parties access to the distribution network; and offers secondary transportation services in Spain, Latin America, and Italy.

The company generates electricity by means of power stations of combined cycle, projects of co-generation, and Aeolian generation in Spain and Puerto Rico, and commercialization of electricity in Spain.

Gas Natural SDG also engages in the development of integrated liquefied natural gas projects, maritime transportation, and operation of the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline, as well as hydrocarbon exploration and production in Spain.

Further, the company engages in the gas supply and commercialization activities in Spain and abroad, the commercialization of other products and services related to retail commercialization in Spain, gas commercialization activities on the liberalized market, gas supply for other gas distributors and commercializers, and the commercialization of other products and services relating to retail commercialization.

It served approximately 10,179,000 gas distribution customers and operated 100,150 kilometres of gas distribution network, as of December 31, 2005.

The company was founded in 1843 and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
